Thank you! 🧔♂️🙂😉👍🏻🎹🎶✨️
He looks like Einstein *Grieg’s special theory of relativity* lil
This is one of the greatest compositions for piano ever written ❤❤❤
Kapell at his best leaves me without words. This performance is on the level of his Liszt Mephisto Waltz, his Prokofieff Third, and his Brahms D minor. Harold Schonberg wrote that Kapell possessed the quality of "command". The man had a tone of his own, which is present in this performance. He had the power to sweep an orchestra away by the drive of his phrasing. The end of this movement is such a moment. Thank You, Lord, for giving us Willie Kapell even for the short time he was here..
jazzy cadenza at 7:59
IM is a Deity for all Chopin, LVB, Debussy, for starters...the only one close is Ivo P, who did not record nearly as much...and Radu Lupu...
❤❤❤❤❤
The most amazing thing about this piece is that Prokofiev wrote it when he was just 17.
this guy is pretty good who is he

I have heard countless renditions of this, but nobody has yet managed to make the piano sing through perfect timing in such a way as the man himself!
Psychotic, boring junk, utterly worthless, a complete waste of time.
Its the only version that makes sense. Horowitz was said to play it best, even by Rachmaninoff. But I beg to differ. This truly sounds like the composer is playing it, the drifts in tempo, and roaring spectrum from pianissimo to fortissimo, the bite, the slide, the intrusive thoughts, the heartbreak, the celebration...there's nothing like it. Just amazing. So Profound.
Thanks, Rachmaninoff
too fast!
Happy belated birthday, Prokofiev!
120 years old this recording!
Il mio cuore è in subbuglio! Questo Artista immenso non ha paragoni! Grazie 🙏!
One of the Best rendition of this piece, the clarity of each note is mindblowing
And to think he was barely 5 feet tall. His hands would have been small, too. This piece is scored heavily. Most impressive!
This has to be my favorite interpretation of the coda
mix 풀어라. 유툽,구글,유투버.. you fxxxg parasites!
I guess I am one of the few who dislikes this Version. Its a bit too much of the softness and melancholy. He is overdoing it and putting himself into the Center and makes it selfindulgent and kitsch.
I have to listen to it over and over.
I have never heard anybody played like him! What is going on with those new kids on the block? Rach caught your attention immediately! This is another level!
The other day I saw someone comment that a performance of this piece was too fast, it was slower in tempo than this one!
I love how this song sounds like someone stumbling but turning it into a skip instead.
Heard this is Mal de Pierre’s with Marion Cottilard
Now that's a fast wedding. Maybe a shotgun wedding.
I must say that all good playing allows me great enjoyment. Old or new recordings. I want to listen and not spend so much time complaining.
There are numerous recordings by Rachmaninov of various composers, does anyone know of such recordings on film? Have said it before, I never tire of listening to the great man playing, but to actually see him, well that would be the real icing on the cake.
not just a great composer but one of the best ever pianists in the sense that he is able to put the most feelings in it with a smile
in my view this is the best ever interpretation of this little minuet, it made me smile. thank you for uploading
Dedicating this to Navalny’s family
I am in ❤ with Debussy.
belissimo
Do you know the title of the CD and which label is it?
I may be wrong, but this 1st movement strikes me as what was once called "pure music"; in other words, nothing progammatical, no non-musical or extra-musical influences. No criticism here; I very much enjoy this piece just the way it is, which is altogether superior to anybody else's attempt.. Some commentators fault the performance as too fast-paced; I disagree: the admittedly high speed sharpens and clarifies the score, making it stainless-steel brilliant, because so terrifically played. Any lesser pianist attempting such an advanced tempo would have the exact opposite effect --- blurring certain passages together. Mistakes give the concerto a human aura, unlike a pristine-perfect presentation at risk of sterility and lack of humanity, as would be expected of an AI performance, God forbid!
2:57 shit can go on a rap beat
100%
Rachmaninoff is the best who played Chopin, and i'm sad that i dropped paino
Excuse me, but HOLY SHIT!
I don't like the approach to rhythm and tempo. The sound is beautiful of course, but the playing is a tiny bit flaccid for my taste
The problem is obviously your (bad) taste, not Rachmaninoff's playing :-D
Отвратительная , рваная,без вкусная какофония звуков .
A surprise that he is playing so fast!
I forgot how to breathe
As a schoolboy at a boarding school in Ireland in the late 1950s I wrote to Dmitri Shostakovich when he was in hospital in Leningrad. He was amused to receive a letter from an Irish kid and wrote back. Years later my wife & I were invited to meet Maxim Shostakovich at the Festival Hall in London. Almost 60 years ago my wife (at that time) won the All England Ballet competition dancing to this beatiful Andante. As you can imagine the competition adjudicators were stunned.
excuse me,uh i require further context to this interesting story
